Concept cities will spur economic growth: CII

Vijayawada: CII Andhra Pradesh chapter chairman Vijay Naidu Galla has welcomed the state government's decision to set up 'concept cities' in Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Anantapur. In a statement, Vijay Naidu said the cities are considered as the engines of economic growth. He felt that the proposed concept cities would address infrastructure bottlenecks and help the industry to have required ecosystem.

The CII chairman appreciated Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's approach on the proposed 'concept cities', stating that the idea would pave the way for promoting industrialisation across the state.

He said the concept cities would provide manpower through skill development centres so as to attract investors to the state. These cities would attract investments from high-end technology-based industries, he added. He suggested to the government to involve all stakeholders, particularly industry for the successful execution of the proposed concept cities.
