Conduct CBI probe into Viveka's murder: Kanna Lakshminarayana
Vijayawada: BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana wrote a letter to Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday seeking CBI inquiry into the murder of former Minister Y S Vivekanada Reddy. In his letter, Kanna regretted that the investigation into the brutal murder
of Vivekananda Reddy was yet to be completed and culprits were not nabbed so far. He also said that it was unfortunate that the State police totally failed in completing the murder investigation.
The deceased was a former Minister, a former Parliament member and also the brother of a former Chief Minister, he pointed out. It also appears that the State police are not serious in nabbing the culprits, he opined.
It is high time that the State government should hand over the case to CBI, he said and added that the government must create confidence among the people on serving justice. If the culprits are not nabbed, it will be difficult to create confidence in the minds of people on law and order and also justice, Kanna said.
