Constable exam results released
Amaravati: Results of the examination conducted for the recruitment of police constables as per the notification of 2018 were announced on Thursday. The AP State Level Police Recruitment Board conducted the exams for the selection of constables for 2,723 vacancies in six categories. Out of the total vacancies, the board selected 2,623 candidates. The remaining 100 vacancies remain unfilled for want of candidates in particular categories.
Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy released the results at his camp office at Tadepalli in Guntur district on Thursday. Home minister M Sucharita, DGP D Goutam Sawang and chairman of the board Kumar Vishwajeet were also paresent. Later, the home minister held a press conference at the Secretariat to give details.
As many as 1,528 vacancies are being filled out of a total of 1,600 posts in the category of SCT Police Constables (Civil), in which 1,098 are male and 430 are female candidates.
In this category, 72 vacancies remained unfilled. In the category of SCT PCs (AR), 279 candidates were selected for the posts of 300 and 21 vacancies remained unfilled. The selected include 232 male and 47 female candidates.
For another 300 posts in SCT PCs (APSP) men, all posts are being filled. Around 100 warders in men category and 23 warders in women category have also been filled. Out of 400 vacancies for Firemen in men category, 393 posts have been filled and 7 remain unfilled.
All these selections are based on the notification Rs. No. 215 / R&T / Rect.2/2018, dated November 12, 2018. The candidates could access the results on the website www.slprb.ap.gov.in. Candidates also could send mail to apslprb.pcsobj@gmail.com by September 15, 2019, for any further clarification, said the Minister.
The selection lists for all the 6 categories have been prepared as per Rules of Reservation, vacancies notified, academic qualifications, age-relaxation, horizontal reservation, and other benefits.
