Cops conduct cordon & search in Ongole, Komarole
Ongole: The Prakasam district police conducted cordon and search in Yerraguntla village in Komarole mandal and Pernamitta area of Ongole town on early morning of Friday.
The Giddalur CI, U Sudhakar Rao with the Giddalur SI, Shaik Samandar Vali, Somarole SI Mallikharjuna Rao, Racharla SI Tyagaraju, Bestavari Pet Sub-Inspector of Police Ravindra Reddy and staff from those police stations cordoned the Yerraguntla village and conducted searches in every house from 4 am. They found 11 deer horns, three red sanders logs, five hunting knives and two axes along with 10 two-wheelers with no valid documents. The police apprehended three suspects in the village and shifted them to the police station. The CI, Sudhakar Rao said that in the view of proposed panchayat elections and to control the locally made liquor they conducted the cordon and search in the village.
In Ongole, the Ongole DSP, KVVNV Prasad, Taluka CI M Lakshman, SIs and staff from various police stations from the subdivision cordoned the Pernamitta area in the town and searched all houses. They found 16 two-wheelers, three auto rickshaws without valid documents and eight deadly weapons from the possession of people and seized all of them.
