Cops told to be vigilant till elections are over

Anantapur: District SP GVG Ashok Kumar has directed police personnel to conduct searches in faction rivalry-ridden villages and intensify vehicles checking on highways to ensure that suspicious people with faction rivalry background be rounded up and their activities and movements monitored. He has also asked the police not to create a fear psychosis and disturb peace loving people.

The police during the past fortnight had participated in 'Palle Nidra' in 124 villages and 134 cordon and search operations, 1,609 village searches, 666 vehicle searches and 1,044 visible search operations. The SP asked the police to create awareness on law and order particularly in the contest of elections. He asked police to be vigilant in problematic villages.
