Coronavirus effect: AP govt likely to bring ordinance on budget 2020
In the wake of coronavirus outbreak and the country lockdown, the YSRCP government led by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been in a big hurdle as they had to hold the assembly session to pass the budget bill by March 31, lest the government could not spend a single rupee from April 1, next financial year.
In this backdrop, if the speculations are to be believed from the YSRCP sources, the government is likely to bring ordinance for the state budget as it is inappropriate to hold assembly sessions, which will lead to mass gatherings. However, the official news on the same is awaited.
Earlier, the government has decided to introduce the vote on Account Budget later this month. But due to the country lockdown amidst the coronavirus, the whole scenario has changed.
