Coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh: 62 new cases reported in the state, tally moves to 2514
Coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh: Andhra Pradesh state has reported 62 new cases of COVID-19 out of 8,415 samples that underwent tests on Friday taking the total in the state to 2514. The state has recorded patient recovery rate of 70% with 51 discharges today.
According to a media health bulletin released by the government, as of Friday, there were 728 active covid-19 cases in the state and the number of recovered cases stands at 1731 in total. Meanwhile, the death toll remains at 55 till date with a new death case in Krishna district.
Despite the criticism over not disclosing the district wise COVID-19 data, the state government headed by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has not released the district wise data. On the other hand, the government has said that cases among migrants were being mentioned separately as they were not residents of Andhra Pradesh where as many as more than 150 cases reported. Meanwhile, the government is evacuating the migrants to their native districts through special services.
