Coronavirus in Kadapa: Pulivendula town is declared as green zone amid no positive cases

The Pulivendula town of Kadapa district has reportedly entered into the green zone from Tuesday as the containment zone restrictions have been concluded by Monday. Collector Hari Kiran issued a statement on Monday. Four positive cases have been registered in Pulivendula, and strict restrictions are adopted on the containment zone. "With no positive cases for last 28 days after the last case got discharged on April 20, Pulivendula town has been named as Green zone," he said.

Four persons who were recovered from Kovid were discharged on Monday, Collector Hari Kiran said. Four of them were released from Tirupati State COVID Hospital Swims. They said they were from Kadapa city, including two men aged 51 and 60, and women aged 45 and 69 respectively.

On the other hand, officials have also identified red zone areas where corona positive cases have been registered. The lockdown is going to be more stringent there. Essential goods and vegetable stores are only allowed to open from 6 am to 9 am. Following the decision of the central government to extend the lockdown until 31st of this month, the authorities have framed the rules to give exemptions over lockdown.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh has reported 57 new cases on Monday taking the tally to 2287 along with 50 fatalities and 705 active cases while the discharged cases stand at 1433 till Monday.
