Coronavirus in Tirupati: Municipal Corporation officials clarified over news on lockdown
Lockdown in Tirupati: Coronavirus cases have been increasing drastically in Andhra Pradesh, which is spread in almost all districts. In some cities and towns the situation is worse. The virus is spreading so fast that the authorities are alerted and taking the precautions. The lockdown has already been announced in Anantapur, Ongole, Chirala, Kakinada and Eluru and there are reports that the lockdown would extended to other areas as well.
On the other hand, there was a campaign that there would be a lockdown in Tirupati city for next 15 days starting from Monday. However, the Tirupati Municipal Corporation has reacted to the news on social media amd clarified that there is such decision made over the lockdown in the city.
The commissioner advised not to believe the false propaganda and warned the people of strict action for spreading false news on social media. As the coronavirus cases are on the rise, and the city people are advised to be vigilant. They are warned not to leave the houses unless there is emergency.
Meanwhile, the state has registered 477 new cases in Thursday taking the tally to 8783 with 4817 active case and 3830 active cases. While the death toll has reached 136.
