Andhra Pradesh Electricity companies have made a key decision in the wake of country lockdown due to coronavirus spread. They have decided to stop the spot billing and approved to consider the average electricity consumption of the last three months as a March electricity bill, which will be placed on the website.

The electricity board advised the customers to pay the bill online. The bills are said to be adjusted in the next month if there are any differences in the bill and the actual consumption of electricity.

In fact, electricity usage charges based on meter reading are provided by the staff at home every month. However, spot billing is being stopped as part of coronavirus prevention measures, officials said.
