Coronavirus update: 289 new cases reported in Andhra Pradesh, takes tally to 8,83,876

Coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh are on the decline again. Although corona diagnostic tests were performed heavily, there was a decrease in cases. In a bulletin released by the state medical and health department on Wednesday, 51,207 people were tested for coronavirus and 289 tested positive in the past 24 hours. This brings the number of corona infections in the state to 8,83,876.

Also, three people were killed on Wednesday with one each in Krishna district, Visakhapatnam and Prakasam district. The death toll from the corona epidemic has risen to 7,125 across the state.

Also the number of discharges in the state has increased tremendously. There were double the number of discharges at once compared to Tuesday. A total of 428 people were fully recovered and discharged from the corona epidemic on Wednesday with which 8,73,855 people in the state have now fully recovered from the corona epidemic and discharged, while the number of active cases has dropped to 2,896. The government has tested 1,21,05,121 samples so far across the state, the bulletin said.

The highest number of corona cases was reported in Guntur district on Wednesday, while the lowest number was reported in Prakasam district with 42 in Guntur district and 2 in Prakasam.
