Coronavirus update: 54 new cases reported in Andhra Pradesh, tally reaches 2841
Andhra Pradesh has recorded as many as 54 new COVID-19 positive cases out of 9858 samples tested in the last twenty-four hours on Thursday taking the tally to 2841. As per the state health bulletin, 45 patients have recovered and discharged from the hospitals and the overall recovered cases stands at 1958 and 824 active cases.
While looking at the deaths in the state, as many as 59 people died of a dreadful virus with one death reported on Wednesday in Kurnool. Out of the cases reported in the state, two from Nellore and one from Chittoor and one in Guntur has Koyambedu links where four people have come from Tamil Nadu states.
On the other hand, the state reported cumulative 111 cases related to foreign evacuees and 293 cases are related to other states referred to as migrants. Of these cases, as many as 126 are active cases and 23 discharged cases reported on a single day. The government of Andhra Pradesh has been taking measures to contain the virus, yet with the current flow of citizen from a road and other states have been on rise leading to the more number of coronavirus cases in the state.
