Coronavirus update: 753 cases reported in Andhra Pradesh, tally moves to 8,54,764

Coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh have declined sharply in the past 24 hours on Monday with 753 new cases reported taking the total number of cases in the state to 854764. Meanwhile, another 13 people have died in the state due to the virus with two each in Chittoor, Krishna and Visakhapatnam, one each in East Godavari, Anantapur, Guntur, Kadapa, Prakasam, Nellore, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and West Godavari. With the latest deaths, the total death toll in the state has risen to 6881.

On the other hand, as many as 1507newly recovered cases were reported, which brings the total number of recoveries of the virus in Andhra Pradesh to 8,54,764. Currently, the number of coronavirus active cases in the state is 17,892.

As per the bulletin, 43,044 coronavirus tests have been conducted in Andhra Pradesh. This brings the number of coronavirus tests conducted so far in the state to 91,97,307. According to district wise case reported on Monday, 213 people tested positive in West Godavari, followed by 130 in East Godavari, 87 in Chittoor, 76 in Krishna, 66 in Kadapa, 50 in Guntur, 36 in Prakasam, 25 each in Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam, 14 in Nellore, 12 each in Prakasam and Vizianagaram, 4 in Anantapur respectively.
