Coronavirus update: Andhra Pradesh reports 667 new positive cases taking tally to 8,71,972

The coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh has seen a fall on Sunday. According to health bulletin released a short while ago, about 60,329 samples were tested in the last 24 hours where 667 new positive cases were reported taking the total number of cases across the state to 8,71,972 and nine people have died in the past 24 hours, which brings the total death toll to 7033.

The health bulletin reported that the recovery rate also been increased with as many as 914 people had recovered in the past 24 hours, which brings the total number of recovered cases to 8,59,029 while 5,910 are being treated at the various coronavirus hospitals.

The state has conducted 1,04,10,612 tests overall, which is a massive number. As far as deaths are concerned two died in the Krishna and Chittoor, one each in Kadapa, Guntur, Nellore, Visakhapatnam and Anantapur. Meanwhile, East Godavari district has the highest number of 1,22,650 positive cases in the state, followed by West Godavari district with 92,946 cases while Chittoor district has 84,266 cases and stood at top three positions.
