Corruption will cause downfall of political parties: ex-Minister
Kadapa: People will teach a lesson to any political party which encourages corruption, according to former Minister D L Ravindra Reddy on Thursday.
Addressing a press conference at Proddaturu, the former Minister recalled that the people had rejected the TDP because it was held responsible for encouraging corruption directly or indirectly. During the TDP regime, former TTD Chairman and Mydukuru party in-charge P Sudhakar Yadav had faced allegations of corruption. He was backed by former Finance Minister Yenamala Ramakrishnudu.
On the arrest of TDP leader R Venkata Subba Reddy, Ravindra Reddy dismissed it as a small issue as both YSRCP, TDP groups lodged complaints with the police against each other. On new sand policy, the former Minister said if the government failed to implement it property, it would face people's anger in the forthcoming elections to local bodies. He said it was true that he had sought TDP ticket to contest from Mydukuru constituency.
