Council Chairman expresses displeasure over return of select committee files, warns Secretary of severe action

The process of formation of Select Committees recommended by the Legislative Council is taking a new turn day by day. Sharif, the chairman of the council, ordered that the bills introduced on the issue of the three capitals should be sent to the select committee in the month of January.

However, the council secretary has turned down the file while YSRCP argued that the two bills were approved as the select committees are not former within stipulated 14 days. In the latest development, chairman of council warned the secretary of action in the delay of forming committees.

The chairman expressed dissatisfaction over the sending of the file set up by the committee. Once again, he ordered Secretary to set up a Select Committee. Meanwhile, TDP MLCs are expected to go to Delhi on the abolition of the legislative council. They are going to tell the central leaders that the government is looking to abolish the council for three capitals bill.
