Council Chairman has power to sue secretary over return of Select Committees: Yanamala Rama Krishnudu

Telugu Desam Party senior leader and former minister Yanamala Rama Krishnudu has expressed outrage over the accusations levelled by YSRCP on TDP over recent IT raids. He said that he had all the evidence pertaining to the false propaganda run by Sakshi news channel for the last ten days. Yanamala asserted that the party would complain to Press Council and the Editors Guild and would file a defamation lawsuit against Sakshi.

On the other hand, the former minister found fault over the return of the Select Committees and termed it to be an unconstitutional affair by the secretary of the council. "The chairman of the council has the power to take action against the Secretary of the Legislative Council," he opined.

It is our responsibility to take the matter to the centre and president of India to explain the ground reality of the council. He also said that they would meet governor Biswabhushan Harichandan in this matter.
