COVID-19 lockdown: Coronavirus curfew continues in YSR Kadapa district
Coronavirus curfew continues in Kadapa district for the third day as part of the lockdown. Commercial businesses, groceries and district boundaries were closed. The transportation system is limited to the depot. Except for emergency services, the rest of the businesses was closed. Officials have advised the public that they should be restricted to homes for next week days. Police are conducting patrols in crowded areas.
Kadapa District Collector Hari Kiran said that the district administration is taking all possible measures to prevent coronavirus outbreak in the state. He held a press conference with SP Anburajan on Monday at the Collectorate. He outlined the actions taken by the district administration to curtail coronavirus.
The Collector further said that common Quarantine centers were being set up to prevent coronavirus outbreaks in the district. "We have already checked out the DRDA Training Center (opposite JMJ College) on the Kadapa-Tirupati Road, the Guest House and Research Scholar Hostels in YVU and Haj Bhavan in Chennuru, " Collector said. Common Quarantine Centers will be set up in Rajampet, Rayachoti, Pulivendula, Produtturu. The government has ordered each constituency to maintain a Common Quarantine Center with a capacity of 50–100 beds.
District SP Anburajan has warned of cases against those who post fake news on social media over coronavirus, cases will be registered. "As a self discipline, everyone was asked to remain in self-confinement for 20 days to prevent the spread of coronavirus, " SP said.
