Covid-19 vaccination dry run begins in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh

Covid Vaccine Dry Run (Vaccine MacDrill) has been launched in four states across the country. The program was undertaken to monitor the Co-Win app and to directly identify issues arising in the distribution of the vaccine. As part of this, officials in five places in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh today launched the Dry Run drive, which will last for two days.

The officials said that the drive will be held at Vijayawada Government General Hospital, Kankipadu mandal Uppuluru Primary Health Centre, Poorna Heart Institute in Suryaraopet, Krishnaveni Degree College, Thadigadapa Secretariat-4, Prakash Nagar PHCs respectively where the arrangements have been made.

Each center has five staff and 3 rooms for the vaccine dry run. Registration will be done in the first room, vaccination in the second room and examination in the third room. Officials said they will videotape the entire process at the five centres and submit an activity report to state and district level task forces.

Also, Krishna district officials have made arrangements to treat the side effects occurred immediately after the vaccination. On the other hand, a decision on the vaccination date is likely to be made after this dry run. Meanwhile, 30 lakh syringes have already reached the State Vaccine Storage Center. 57 thousand liters of vaccine will be stored here soon. The first installment will be given to Frontline Workers and those who are over 50 years of age.
