Geologist Dharanikota Venkataramana who lost to YSRCP from Jaggayyapeta constituency bagging only 1311 votes. Venkataramana has resigned to the party and joined the BJP party on Thursday
Dharanikota, who was a crucial figure in the Janasena, recently backed the Bapuji Samyatra organized by the BJP from the Jaggaiahpet constituency. It was at that time that Venkatramana met Sujana Chaudhary and discussed the issue of joining the BJP.
With permission from the BJP state head, Ramana joined the party in the presence of BJP state president Laxmi Narayana on Thursday. He was accompanied by Srikanth, who contested the last election on behalf of the BJP, Nomula Raghu, the state secretary of BJYM, Manne Srinivasa Rao and Keesara Rambabu.
