CRPF jawan and his wife died after falling off from train in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: In a tragic incident, a couple, who tried to get down from a moving train died after falling under its wheels. The incident happened at Duvvada railway station. The deceased were identified as KV Ramana Rao (45), a CRPF jawan and his wife Nagamani (40), both hailed from Vedullavalasa village in Garividi mandal of Vizianagaram district.

Going into details, Ramana Rao is working as a CRPF Head Constable in neighboring Chhattisgarh and reside there along with his family. To celebrate Karthika Masam special puja's, the family was returning their home town in Secunderabad - Bhubaneswar weekly special train.

The couple thought of getting down at Duvvada railway station. They were traveling in the AC compartment and felt asleep. In the meantime, the train reached Duvvada station at around 3 AM on Sunday.

The fellow passengers waked them up as they were supposed to get down at Duvvada. The family rushed to get down from the moving train. With this, Ramana Rao accidentally fell into the middle of the train and his wife Nagamani also slipped under the wheels and died on the spot.

The dead bodies were shifted to Anakapalle government hospital for post-mortem. Visakhapatnam GRP officials registered a case and investigating further. The bodies were brought to Vedullavalasa on Sunday evening, where the final rites were conducted officially by CRPF personals. The couple has two sons. The elder son Pawan Sai Krishna studying BTech in Chennai and second son Netaji Venkata Sai is pursuing engineering in Hyderabad.
