Cyclone Fani alert warning issued in coastal areas: Varaprasad
Amaravati: On the movement of Cyclone Fani the state government is on alert says AP Disaster Management Department, Secretary D Varaprasad.
On Monday, he has conducted the review meeting with the Cabinet Secretary and Disaster management authorities. Varaprasad said that an alert warning has been issued in the coastal areas of the state.
He said only non-mechanical boats have gone into the sea, and we are trying to bring them back. The Collectors of all the districts have conducted the mock drill.
Varaprasad made it clear that cyclone Fani has no chances of entering the territory by crossing the coastline. From the southern coast to the north coast the storm may move towards Bangladesh. On this, a clear picture is expected by tomorrow afternoon.
He also said the farmers need not worry over the storm. He urged farmers not to sell grains less than MSP Rs 1750 in the Rabi season.
Varaprasad said the orders have been given to the district Collectors to take the criminal action if anyone tries to reduce the price of the grains.
