Cyclone Fani likely to intensify into extremely severe storm

Hyderabad: On 12 October 2014 the Cyclonic Storm Hudhud has remained as a nightmare to the residences in Visakhapatnam. The cyclone has shaken up Vizag with the devastating winds.

With this, the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) has categorized it as Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm. The same like Hudhud another one has formed in Bay of Bengal.

Recently IMD authorities announced that Cyclone Fani is going to strengthing into an extremely severe storm. The sea surface temperature of 30 to 31 degrees Celsius has become suitable for it.

The storms that occur in the seas are considered in different categories like a storm, severe storm, extremely severe storm, and super cyclone.

Very heavy rains, thunderstorms, winds with the speed reaching 160 to 170kms some times even to 185kms are considered as an extremely severe storm.

After Cyclone Hudhud, now Cyclone Fani is strengthing into an extremely severe storm. As per weather experts, the cyclone Fani will create severe destruction if it crosses the coastline.
