Cyclone-hit farmers to receive Rs 46.25 crores in East Godavari district
Kakinada: District Collector D Muralidhar Reddy said that 77,381 farmers from 737 villages were affected by the Nivar cyclone in the district.
Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy held a videoconference from the Thadepalli camp office on Tuesday. BC Welfare Minister Srinivasa Venugopal Krishna, Collector Reddy, Joint Collector Dr G Lakshmisha attended the video conference from the district.
The Collector informed the Chief Minister that an amount of Rs 46.25 crore would be transferred in the accounts of farmers affected by the cyclone in the district. He said for the year 2020-21, Rs 102.27 crore will be deposited in the accounts of 4,64,229 farmers under the last tranche of assistance under the YSR Rythu Bharosa.
