Eluru: As part of nationwide call, Dalit Christians are observing black day on Saturday, demanding that the government include them in SC list. This was disclosed by Fr G Moses who submitted a memorandum to this effect to Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani here on Thursday. For several decades, many governments have been ignoring them after giving assurance to include in SC list, he alleged.

A huge gathering of Dalit Christians from across the district would submit a memorandum to the minister on Saturday. The YSRCP government should understand their problem and do justice, he appealed.

Responding to the plea of Fr Moses, the minister said that Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy was fulfilling every promise made in the election manifesto and he would bring to his notice the demand of the Dalit Christians also.

Delivering justice to every family in state is the motto of the CM and the government would surely extend funds for the welfare of Dalit Christians. He appealed to Dalit Christians to avail government schemes.
