Civil Supplies authorities verifying records at the ration shop

Pithapuram: The Civil Supplies authorities booked a case on a PDS dealer of shop No 64 at Mangiturti village in Pithapuram mandal in East Godavari for misusing the items meant for distribution to ration card holders.

According to civil supplies authorities, 4 quintals of rice, 18 kilos of sugar and 184 kilos of millets were found short in the stocks when verified. The authorities noticed that in the absence of the dealer Badagu Mahesh, some outsiders were managing the outlet.

The authorities conducted raids on the outlet on Sunday, on a complaint of irregularities in the PDS items delivery. Kakinada division ASO P Suresh and Pithapuram mandal supply officer Lakshmi Ramani conducted the raids and booked the dealer under 6A of Civil Supplies Act.
