Demo held on plastic segregation, recycling in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: Sri Krishna Maternity and Nursing Home along with the India Youth For Society (IYFS) addressed the staff of the hospital about handling of discarded plastics on Sunday. IYFS team guided the hospital management about segregation and recycling process.

Appala Reddy of the society collected the plastics from the local area and demonstrated how much waste was generated each day. He also showed them the benefits of segregation at source. Later, pledge was administered to the staff that they would send all dry waste to plastic recycling unit, which will be done in addition to the bio-medical waste processing.
