Dengue And Malaria Cases Have Raised In Guntur: GMC Intensifies Preventive Measures
Guntur: As many as 72 dengue and 190 malaria cases are recorded in Guntur. Despite the necessary steps being taken to eradicate these mosquito-borne diseases, the cases have been increasing predominantly from July. The Guntur Municipal Corporation enhanced the anti-larval activities after the rise in the number of cases.
The GMC deployed 195 members staff to conduct fogging activities in 26 vulnerable zones. The corporation is also distributing the medicines for the last five days. Ten people diagnosed with dengue in the previous month. The residents are worried about the latest developments on the rise of mosquito-borne diseases. They are appealing the authorities to take necessary steps to prevent the spreading of this harmful disease.
They also requested them to conduct the campaign program to bring awareness among the people about the disease. The officials reportedly identified fifteen places as hot spots and a drive is scheduled to take preventive measures on Malaria and Dengue.
