Eluru: Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani promised women from various villages to tour their localities as part of his door-to-door visit soon. He said this when a large number of women from BD Colony, Kranti colony, Tangellamudi, Sanivarapupeta and other villages met him and elaborated their problems at his camp office on Thursday.

He said that as the Assembly session is in progress, he will personally visit their localities soon. He sought some time from them to address their problems. The women complained that the previous administration had benefited persons belonging to their party and ignored others. They said that many problems are plaguing their colonies as no development activity was taken up during the earlier government.

The women alleged that even loans to Dwcra groups were also issued to members belonging to ruling party during previous regime. They said that they had voted YS Jaganmohan Reddy to power as he promised uplift of eligible persons irrespective of politics.

Responding to their representations, Nani said that village secretariats would be set up to remove imbalances and poverty alleviation is the goal of Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy. All the welfare programmes would be implemented without partiality, he promised.
