Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan Receives Death Threats Through Calls and Messages
Vijayawada: The peshi of Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan on Monday received threatening calls twice during the day and abusive language against Pawan Kalyan was used by the caller. Following this, Pawan lodged a complaint with the police and the Home Minister Vanglapudi Anitha directed the DGP to probe into it.
The DGP told the Home Minister that the cyber crime police was probing into the issue and the police based on the callers phone number identified him as one Mallikarjun from Labbipet water tank road. The local police was alerted. Mallkarjun had switched off his phone and is absconding. Police with the help of latest technology have launched a search for him and finally took him into custody.
It was also found that in the past Mallikarjun had made threatening calls to Home Minister from the same number.
The threatening calls gained significance in the backdrop of Pawan Kalyan’s serious warning to the PDS rice mafia in the state. Pawan Kalyan has recently visited Kakinada port and expressed ire on the port officials for the negligence on rice exports from Kakinada port.
Andhra Pradesh cyber police began the probe and collected details of the caller and from where he made the calls to Pawan Kalyan’s peshi and camp office.
