Details of missing family in the stream at Kamanuru village established

Kadapa: After 36 hours of the incident in which a 6 member family washed away in the stream at Kamanuru village police able to established the name of missing persons on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as M Ramanjaneyulu (30), his wife M Penchalamma (27), mother M Subbamma (55), daughters M Meghana (6), M Anjali (4) and his son Karthik (6 months) Portladurthi village of Yerraguntla Mandal.

The incident came into the light after the relative of missing family N Pedda Maraiah lodged complaint with proddatur rural police on Wednesday afternoon. In the earlier police suspected four(4) members including auto driver washed away in the water. But following the information provided by missing family relative they were six (6).

According to the official sources, the six-member family came to Gollapalli village of Proddatur Mandal attended for function in their own auto.

In the return journey, they proceeded through a stream which is overflowing on the road at Kamanuru village. Police said entire family washed away in the water following stream is in spate. However the bodies of the missing family not yet to be recovered. A pall of gloom descended in portladurthi village following the death of the six-member family. A case has been registered by In proddatur rural police and is investigating.
