Develop tourist spots, Collector tells officials

Rajamahendravaram: District Collector D Muraliadhar Reddy has directed the officials of Tourism Department to devise an action plan to develop various tourist spots in the district immediately.

Speaking to the officials of Tourism department, he said all the resorts and guest houses should be constructed with same design for easy identification of tourists. The prices also should be affordable in the resorts and guest houses of tourism as well as eco tourism.

The District Collector also directed the officials to devise an action plan to develop century old Havelock Rail Bridge on River Godavari with the consultation of MP, Sub-Collector and Municipal Corporation Commissioner.

He also suggested to the Tourism Department officials to shift an upcoming tourism project at the entry point of River Godavari. He directed ITDA project director to handover land to tourism department officials allotted for Bhupathipalem resorts in the Agency area.

An approach road should also be laid immediately to give access to the resort and asked the tourism department to carve parks attractively. The district is having abundant opportunities to develop tourism and the government is very much particular to develop tourism sector across the state, mainly in the district.
