Guntur: Development came to a halt in State, regrets Naidu

Guntur: TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu criticised the State government for stopping all the development works.

He pointed out that the works pertaining to capital construction, Polavaram Project and other irrigation project works came to a grinding halt. Naidu addressed a meeting of the party leaders at the TDP State office in Guntur city on Tuesday.

Naidu said the construction activity in the State was halted due to scarcity of sand. The construction workers have been suffering due to lack of work. The sand crisis was also hitting other sectors. The Opposition leader said the YSRCP government secured recognition for cancelling contracts.

He further said that the government was trying to remove white ration cards. He said there was no safety and security to the people in the YSRCP government.

Naidu expressed concern over the growing attacks on the TDP activists under the YSRCP regime and vowed to fight against the government on the issue.

The TDP chief said he was astonished over Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy speaking on corruption as he had been the No.1 accused in 10 quid pro quo cases.

Former Ministers Somireddy ChandramohanReddy, Kalava Srinivasulu, MLAs Payyavula Keshav, Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary and other leaders attended the meeting.
