Tirupati: Based on survey reports, the TDP fielded new face for the Satyavedu (SC) Assembly constituency to minimise anti-incumbency against the ruling government while the YSRCP gave ticket to K Adimulam. In 2014 elections, TDP nominee Talari Aditya had defeated Adimulam with a margin of 4,227 votes.

JD Rajasekhar is the TDP contestant. Adimulam is expecting that sympathy of losing in previous elections will make him winner along with anti-incumbency factor. Rajasekhar is familiar to people in the constituency as he has been involved in taking up service activities for the last several years.

As per the 2011 census, the Scheduled Caste (SC) voters constitute 33.16 per cent from the total population. According to 2018 voter list, the segment has 1,91,056 voters and 265 polling stations.

The ruling party has to toil hard to assuage voters as several issues like unemployment, lack of roads and public transport to villages are yet to be addressed. The major issue is that one from every Sri City SEZ displaced family did not get jobs. The displaced are alleging that locals were given less paid jobs in Sri City factories. Six mandals KVB Puram, Nagalapuram, Satyavedu, Pichatur, Varadaiahpalem and BN Kandriga comes under Satyavedu Assembly constituency.
