Devotee commits suicide near Tirumala temple

Tirumala: An unexpected tragedy has happened near Tirumala temple in the early hours on Friday. A devotee has committed suicide by falling under the moving milk tanker which belongs to TTD.

The CCTV cameras captured the incident which has taken place at Mada Veedhi closer to the Lord's temple. After unloading the milk cans, the Pala Mitra lorry moved forward and a man standing next to it suddenly dived onto the rear wheels.

In the incident, the devotee died on the spot. Firstly, the officials considered it as an accident. But after checking CCTV footage, the police have registered the case as suicide and trying to get the details of the deceased person.

Soon after the suicide took place, the authorities have canceled all darshans of the Lord. The temple was reopened after performing rituals like Suddhi (holy cleansing process) as per the advice of the temple Agama advisor Ramana Deekshitulu.
