Devotees offer Ashada Sare to Goddess Durga

Vijayawada: The women devotees from Undavalli village on Thursday brought the Holy Ashada Sare to present it to Goddess Kanaka Durga atop Indrakeeladri on a grand note.

The devotees performed traditional dance and played traditional music instruments while carrying the Holy Sare. They offered Holy Sare to the goddess and wished abundant rainfall in the state for cultivation and livestock and for prosperity.

After performing special Puja at Rama Mandiram located at Redla Bazaar, the women devotees in huge number came by walk to offer Sare to Goddess Kanaka Durga. More than 15 batches of devotees were given permission to offer Holy Sare on Thursday.

Among them Lalitha Parayana Group consists of 500, visited the temple and offered Holy Sare to Goddess Kanaka Durga. On Thursday, almost 1,200 devotees registered to present Holy Sare to Goddess. Over 2,000 devotees visited and presented Holy Sare to Durga Mata.
