Devotees offer Pavithra Saares to Goddess Durga

Vijayawada: About 750 devotees offered Pavithra Saares to Goddess Durga at Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam on Thursday.The Ashada Masam holy rituals were concluded on a grand scale and the devotees thronged the temple since the wee hours.

As Thursday was the last day of the occasion, many devotees presented saares to the goddess. Four groups of women from various places in the state participated in the holy ritual.
