Dissidence against Kodela's candidature

Guntur: Some TDP leaders, opposing the candidature of Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, on Wednesday staged a dharna at Sattenapalli party office, to register their protest. Holding placards, they raised slogans against the Speaker.

The activists under the aegis of dissident leader Gogineni Venkateswara Rao demanded Kodela to quit Sattenapalli Assembly constituency and stressed on need to respect the feelings of the local leaders. They said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu should not give one more chance to him. Another TDP leader Mananei Srinu demanded that the Chief Minister's interfere in the Sattenapalli Assembly seat issue and respect the feelings of party activists.

Later, they took out a semi-naked procession with candles at Old Bus Stand in Sattenapalli demanding Chandrabau Naidu to interfere in the issue and respect the feelings of TDP leaders. TDP leaders Kondaveeti Krishna Prasad, Kota Jesu and Peddinti Venkateswarlu were present.
