District-level cricket tourney kicks off

Karapa: East Godavari DD of I& PR M Francis called upon youth to utilise opportunities by developing technical expertise. He inaugurated the district level cricket tournament on Friday organised by 'Velangi Graduates Youth organisation in Karapa mandal.

Francis said that both the state and central governments have been providing ample opportunities to those who excel in sports and games. He advised the youth to take up games besides education for over all development.

Players of participating cricket teams were introduced to the chief guest. In total 38 team from various parts of the district have been participating in the cricket tournament on league basis.
