Doctor show humanity in eliminating communicable diseases in pregnant women
Kadapa: A one day work district level work shop jointly organized by District Medical& Health Department and Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences(RIMS) have jointly organized district level on elimination of Parent to Child Transmission and Syphilis has stressed the need of medical staff to show humanity while dealing the pregnant women affected by HIV/AIDS and Syphilis and other communicable diseases in the interest of preventing the infant get affected the diseases in mother womb. The work shop also has decided to motivate the pregnant women immediately to approach the PHC's ,CHC's, areas hospitals to get cured of their diseases in initial stage.
On this occasion medical staff working in various capacities shared their experiences while dealing the HIV/AIDS patients at their working place. DM&HO Dr Umasundary said that there will be hundred percent chances for totally eradicating the communicable diseases affected the infant if the pregnant women approached the doctor in early stage. Additional DM&HO Dr. Khadhar Valli said that doctors should feel more responsible by suggesting correct treatment in time when they noticed HIV/AIDS and Syphilis in time as infant in mother womb will not get affected. On this occasion DM&HO has released broacher on elimination of PTCT. RIMS Superintendent Dr. Giridhar and others were present.
