Dr CA Y Nagavalli appointed as president of ICAI

Vijayawada: Dr CA Y Nagavalli has been elected as president of the Vijayawada branch for Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of the Institute of Charted Accountants of India (ICAI).

This is for the first time a woman elected as president after 49 years of establishment of the branch in Vijayawada.

The new executive body of Vijayawada branch was elected and the branch audit meeting was held here on Saturday. The election was conducted in the presence of chief guest and Central Council member CA O Prasanna Kumar and SIRC member CA Naresh Chandra G at ICAI Bhavan.

About 200 members attended and elected Dr CA Y Nagavalli as a president of the branch.

CA G Srinivas has been elected as vice-president, CA K Purna Chandra Rao as secretary, CA G Sritha Shireen, as treasurer, CA V Narendra Babu as CA student's wing president, CA N Ravikumar and CA N Sunitha as executive body members.

Prasanna Kumar administered the oath of office to the newly-elected office-bearers.
