Dr Mohan's Diabetes enters Tirupati

Tirupati: Chennai based Dr Mohan's Diabetes Specialties Centre has opened its comprehensive single site facility in the pilgrim city on Friday. The centre has multidisciplinary services like diabetes eye unit, nutrition and dietetics, patient education, diabetes foot ware and food products under one single structure.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Nirmala Saraswathi, Tirupati Branch in-charge said that the advanced technologies developed at Dr Mohan's Diabetes Centre not only help to ensure an early diagnosis of diabetes for the people of Tirupati but also provide quality care and support. "Our aim is to empower, educate and counsel the people to lead a healthy lifestyle and breaking myths around diabetes management," she averred.

It is no secret that when it comes to diabetes, 50 per cent of Indian diabetes population is unaware of their condition and this negligence is high among rural population due to lack of access to quality diabetes care, she said adding that Tirupati centre offering complete diabetes care as well as a cadre of other diabetes treatments under one roof is aimed to extend the advanced facilities to backward districts like Chittoor.
