Drivers Day celebrated in Kadiri
On the occasion of Driver's Day, which is observed to recognize the services of Colonel Nizamuddin, the personal driver of freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the drivers, vehicle owners, and cleaners came together to celebrate this day.
The chief guest of the program was MS Vara Prasad, an officer from the transport department, who participated in the road safety festival. During his speech, he emphasized the sacredness of the driver's profession and urged everyone not to denigrate it. He highlighted that being a driver is not just about operating a vehicle but also entails the responsibility of being the owner of the vehicle, the caretaker of the cargo, and the provider for one's own family.
Varaprasad stressed the importance of responsible driving and the role that drivers play in society. He mentioned that the world cannot move forward without drivers and urged them to work hard and bring glory to their profession. He also emphasized the significance of observing road safety measures and behaving well while performing their duties, as this ensures the safety of both their own families and the families of the vehicle owners.
Finally, Varaprasad encouraged drivers to leave behind any bad habits and strive to improve their behavior, so they can truly do justice to the noble profession of driving.
