DRM lauds staff for decline in mishaps
Vijayawada: South Central Railway–Vijayawada Division celebrated its 64th Railway Week divisional-level function at the Railway Auditorium here on Friday. Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) R Dhananjayulu said that the division has performed exceptionally well on the safety front without any major incidents and casualties during the past financial year.
The DRM also said the division has breached Rs 5,000 crore for the first time achieving Rs 5,137 crore and also registered highest incremental loading of 9.3 MT among all the divisions over Indian Railways.
The DRM lauded the efforts of engineering and signal department staff on successful completion of long delayed infrastructure projects like Automatic Block Signal working between VNEC and Mustabad, Coaching fitness for bulb lines between Bulb Cabin and VNEC enabling bypassing of Vijayawada junction and Gudur Non-Interlocking works.
The DRM praised the staff and officials of finance and personnel departments for rendering exemplary services to the pensioners, timely redressal of grievances and clearing all the cases without any dues during his tenure. The DRM lauded the RPF staff for retrieving 429 left over articles and rescuing 242 runaway children.
