Drug racket busted, 4 held in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: The police have busted another drug racket that is operated targeting the engineering students in Visakhapatnam.

On receiving the information of drugs deal at Daba Gardens under Visakha Two Town PS, the Task Force police conducted a raid and arrested four persons. Among the accused, the police have identified Narendra alias Vicky who belongs to Vijayawada.

Vicky, who is the main accused in the case has completed Marine Engineering course from the RL Institute of Madurai in Tamil Nadu. Earlier, Vicky was also in remand for nine months in a drug deal case.

In this context, he became friend with drug supplier Anthony and spread his business. The investigation revealed that ganja was brought to Vizag from Bangalore, Mumbai, and Goa.

The other accused who were arrested include Vicky's girlfriend Sita alias Siri, Chintalapudi Raju, and Vennela Venkat Rao. Later, the accused were produced before Visakhapatnam CP Rajiv Kumar Meena.
