DSNLU wins GITAM moot court trophy in Visakhapatnam

Students with certificates and awards at the moot court competition held at GITAM, in Visakhapatnam on Monday

Visakhapatnam: The regional moot court competition was held at GITAM Deemed to be University campus on Monday. The competition was organised by GITAM Moot and Advocacy Committee (GMAC) from July 26 to July 29.

Around 15 colleges participated in the event. The final round was judged by former Vice-Chancellor of Acharya Nagarjuna University A Rajendra Prasad and Principal of Dr B R Ambedkar College S Sumitra. Damodaram Sanjeevayya National Law University (DSNLU) won the trophy of GITAM regional moot court competition, Siddhartha Law College walked away with the second prize. Twinkle Shaji of School of Law, GITAM adjudged as the best researcher.

Trophies and certificates were distributed to the adjudged winners and participants. Students, teachers and staff participated in large numbers.

During the valedictory session, GITAM School of Law Director R Anita Rao addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of Moot Courts and its participation by comparing the legal development in the era. She promulgated the importance of confidence and skill factor while mooting the court room.
