E-Cell inaugurated at Sri City IIIT in Tirupati

Tirupati : In an effort to boost up innovation and entrepreneurship development among students, IIIT, Sri City inaugurated a separate E-Cell on Friday.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion IIIT Director G Kannabiran said entrepreneurial eco-system is fast evolving, where the activities lead to incubation of great ideas. This ecosystem enables the potential entrepreneur- students to work on innovation, supported by mentoring, coaching and funding.

The E-Cell is a major step to formalise all activities relating to Innovation and Entrepreneurship development, he said adding that a new section comprising Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship has been created to spearhead all these activities.

Ganapathy Venugopal, Co-Founder and CEO, Axilor Ventures, Bengaluru said `Our aim is to support the students in awareness, education, training and mentorship, incubation support and seed funding.

He told the students that they are fortunate to have so many Industries in Sri City and society around the institute. ``But everything is Dr. AP Aruna Consultant for Innovation and Entrepreneurship presented report on the proposed activities of E-Cell of IIIT Sri City. Student Council president Manasa welcomed the participants.
