East Godavari: Man kills son-in-law for harassing daughter in Y Ramavaram

In a shocking incident, Prakash (34) was killed by his father in law Kondla Chinnarao at Jangala Thota village in Y Ramavaram Mandal on Monday midnight. The information came to light recently as the village was located in an inland forest area about 20 km from the center of the mandal and there was no communication system. After receiving the information on Tuesday evening, CI Ravi Kumar and Sub Inspector Ganta Prithvi reached the spot and conducted an inquiry.

According to police and villagers, the deceased was identified as Virula Prakash, 34, of Gujji Mamidivalasa village in Maredu Milli mandal. It is reported that Prakash use to be harasssing been harassed his uncle, aunt and wives.

Family members said that on Monday night, while drinking and beating everyone, the uncle got angry and stabbed his son-in-law Prakash in the neck with an axe. The accused Chinna Rao had fled from the spot. Meanwhile, Circle Inspector and Sub Inspector are interrogating villagers and family members in Jangala Thota village and investigating the case. The body was taken to the Government Hospital for postmortem.
