East Godavari: Strange animal creates tension in Alamuru, forest officials plunge to find

A strange animal has created a stir in Alamuru and Kapileswarapuram in East Godavari district. Local farmers found the strange animal wandering in the village. Villagers said that a buffalo calf belonging to a farmer named Gopu Ramudu of Nawabpeta village was attacked and killed by a strange animal. The locals also said that for the last few days, tens of calves have been killed by a strange animal in Jonnada, Penikeru and Nawabupeta villages.

Farmers have found that the strange animal is in a dilapidated well in a guava garden in the middle of Jonnada-Penikeru in Alamuru mandal. They said that they were afraid to go near the strange animal. The farmers immediately informed the forest officials about the strange animal. They approached the well and examined the animal. However it turned out that it was not a strange animal as the authorities concluded that it was water dog.

With this the farmers breathed in a sigh of relief. Looks like he's trying to get that water dog out of the well. The full details are yet to be ascertained.
