EC transfers Prakasam SP

Ongole: Election Commission transferred Prakasam district superintendent of police Dr. Koya Pravee on Tuesday. The commission appointed Siddharth Kaushal, a 2012 batch IPS officer, as the new SP. Praveen had taken charge as the SP of Prakasam district last week of February after the government transferred B S Yesubabu as the commander of Greyhounds at Visakhapatnam.

The YSRCP Congress party has kept complaining on Praveen that he was biased towards TDP and harassing its leaders. Siddharth Kaushal is now a member of the Special Investigation Team constituted by the government in a case related to a conspiracy by YSRCP and Telangana police to steal the data of TDP and deletion of votes from electoral rolls. The Election Commission ordered him to take charge from Praveen and relieve him from duties by 11 am Wednesday.
